The mission of Whole Village Healing Services is to improve the health & wellness of minorities living in/experiencing poverty in Hampton Roads & VA's Eastern Shore through education, access, and support.
Poverty rates in Norfolk (19%), Hampton (57%), Newport News (16%), and Portsmouth (18%) far surpass Virginia's average of 10.6%. In Norfolk, white residents earn 2x as much as Black residents. Accomack County's poverty rate of nearly 20% exceeds the national average by 7%. Evidence of poverty is easy to see in data that reports housing and food insecurity impacts about 1 out of every 4 children in our region.
Each of these areas presents an imminent & urgent risk to the mental health of our children and their family members. We are changing that by providing the education, the resources, and the support our community needs. When you contribute, you are part of that change.

Back To School Drive 2023
Please join us for a Back to School Drive on August 25th, 2023.
Join us in providing school supplies to over 500 students on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. These students and their families will participate in a day filled with fun including music, games, and face painting.
Mental health providers will be on-site conducting mental health screenings and mental health resources to the students and their families.
Each student will receive a backpack, essential school supplies, and personal hygiene items.
Your donation is very much appreciated in helping us reach our goal of lessening the stress of over 500 students and their families as they prepare to return to school for the 2023-2024 school year.
