Whole Village Healing Services was founded to address healthcare disparities in communities of color, specifically the African-American community. We noticed disparities in care and access to mental health, financial literacy, basic material needs and we decided to take action.
Our Mission
The mission of Whole Village Healing Services, Inc. is to improve the health & wellness of minorities living in/experiencing poverty in the Hampton Roads region through education, access, and support.
Improving Health
We provide critical mental health education, outpatient services, and healthcare supplies to underserved minority communities, directly addressing disparities and improving lives
Improving Wellness
We empower individuals by offering financial literacy training, trauma-informed support, and vital resources like food and housing assistance—helping them build sustainable, thriving futures

Our Executive Director
Dr. Natasha Jones is the Founder & Executive Director of Whole Village Healing Services. A Health Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor, Dr. Jones is passionate about economic and health equity for minorities. Her myriad experience includes practice as a trauma resolution therapist, a research investigator, a community mental health worker, and an adjunct professor. Dr. Jones works diligently to mitigate the impact of trauma on individuals and families.
Dr. Jones' dedication to the well-being of socially disadvantaged populations extends beyond the confines of the therapy session and research. As a mental health worker, she has actively engaged with the community, addressing the unique issues encountered by socially disadvantaged individuals. Dr. Natasha Jones's skill set and tireless campaigning continue to have a significant impact in her community. Her work exemplifies her steadfast commitment to mitigating the consequences of trauma and advocating for economic and health fairness for minorities, resulting in a more inclusive and resilient society for all.
